چکیده
The aims of this study were to explore muscle activity levels during different violin repertoires, quantify the general bilaterally in upper extremity muscles, and evaluate associations between anthropometrics characteristics. In 18 skilled players surface EMG was recorded from trapezius (UT), flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS), extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU), cummunis (EDC), radialis (ECR) A E major scales played three octaves Mozart’s Violin Concerto no. 5. To compare side differences static, median peak calculated an amplitude probability distribution function (APDF). This demonstrated that as standardized tasks can be used estimate average playing. Comparing results music piece revealed a similar across all muscles scales. higher left than right forearm with ECU presenting highest load 30 %MVE. Females males, but accordance anthropometric measures.

Normalized Electromyography of Shoulder Muscles during Selected Functional Tasks of Upper Limb in Patients with Shoulder Impingement Syndrome
Background & Aims: Precise muscle activity pattern is required to maintain normal shoulder function and any alteration in muscle activity can result in movement impairment. The purpose of this study was to assess normalized electromyography (EMG) of shoulder muscles during selected functional tasks of upper limb in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome. Methods: Test group consisted of 15...
متن کاملComparing the Electromyography Activity of Core Muscles During Side Plank Exercise on Stable and Unstable Surfaces
Objective Numerous abdominal exercises with Swiss ball are used to improve core stability with strengthening and rehabilitation goals. It is claimed that the stability exercises have a greater impact on core muscle activation, but the validity of this claim is still in doubt. Moreover, there is no comprehensive study on the comparison of the core muscles activity in different core stability exe...
متن کاملAssessment of Shoulder and Lower Back Muscles Activities of Carpet Weaver’s in the Traditional and Ergonomic Workstations Using Electromyography
Introduction: Carpet-weaving is one of the hard and harmful jobs, which affect the health of the workforce. Based on the previously conducted research, musculoskeletal disorders in the neck, shoulder, and lower back regions are common among carpet weavers. This study conducted to investigate the muscle activity of the shoulder and lower back regions in carpet weavers during work on traditional ...
متن کاملSurface Electromyography of the Forearm Musculature During the Windmill Softball Pitch.
BACKGROUND Previous studies investigating the windmill softball pitch have focused primarily on shoulder musculature and function, collecting limited data on elbow and forearm musculature. Little information is available in the literature regarding the forearm. This study documents forearm muscle electromyographic (EMG) activity that has not been previously published. PURPOSE Elbow and upper ...
متن کاملCrosstalk in surface electromyography of the proximal forearm during gripping tasks.
Electromyographic (EMG) crosstalk was systematically analyzed to evaluate the magnitude of common signal present between electrode pairs around the forearm. Surface EMG was recorded and analyzed from seven electrode pairs placed circumferentially around the proximal forearm in six healthy individuals. The cross-correlation function was used to determine the amount of common signal, which was fo...
